Biography
Helen Marie is a therapist with her own private practice working with clients internationally. She is a registered member of the BACP and specialises in self-work, anxiety, trauma, and relationships. She obtained her post graduate diploma (PGDip) in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University in London following a decision to retrain in her 40s after some first-hand experience within her own family with mental health. She was inspired to give back to the industries that had helped through crises. Her previous career was as a Public Health Specialist in Infectious Diseases for the former Health Protection Agency and in addition to her PGDip she holds a BSc (Hons) in Nursing as well as an MPH (Masters in Public Health).
Helen Marie is the creator behind the Instagram account @h.e.l.e.n.m.a.r.i.e where she shares daily advice on self-love, self-understanding and self-compassion to her engaged community of followers. She is also working with Condé Nast on their wellness student hub where she will be offering advice to students on their mental well-being through their studies going forward. Helen Marie is married with 2 daughters and a son.
In 2024, she launched her podcast I Don’t Think We Talk Enough About… It is a weekly conversation with a variety of expert guests exploring the issues that need more candid openness around mental health and wellbeing. It is the UK top ten mental health podcast charts most weeks.
