Biography
Henry Morris is the man who convinced the country he was a Tory MP with his Secret Tory Twitter account.
He has been variously described as “the Banksy of Twitter”, “the trending Craig Brown” or as Reform MP Lee Anderson put it, “some bloke who looks like the Tiger King.”
Delighting Twitter users with parodies of Samuel Pepys, Gulliver’s Travels, government WhatsApp chats, and Mark Francois’ paintballing antics in Epping Forest, many find it hard to believe that this man was only a runner-up in the 2003 Face of Harrogate competition.
As the self-appointed Papua New Guinea Courier UK correspondent, his Letters From London have earned him almost as many fact-checks as he’d had threats of litigation.
A personal trainer, Henry spends his spare time dabbling in stand-up, putting on raves, stopping birds of prey from being killed by toffs, running ultra marathons, setting cryptic crosswords, producing open-air Shakespeare, and irregularly appearing on podcasts like Oh God, What Now?
His third book, The Tories: A Tragedy is a five act Shakespearean verse play about the last fourteen years of Conservative chaos. It was published by Mudlark/HarperCollins in September 2024.
