How to submit a book proposal
We are looking to support marginalised and underrepresented voices across the categories of non-fiction publishing that we work in.
Kindly note we only handle non-fiction. We cannot respond to fiction, poetry or children's book submissions.
We are temporarily closed for submissions over the festive break from Friday 20th December to Monday 6th January.
Please note that any book proposals sent to us prior to 6th January will not be reviewed. If you are reading this having already sent your book proposal to us during this time, please resend it after 6th January. We look forward to reading it then and wish you a very happy festive period.

We prefer to receive proposals and sample text as attachments — and preferably as Word documents. In your covering email please include your ‘elevator pitch’ and let us know if your project is on multiple submission.
We don’t tend to handle fiction unless it is written by one of our current clients, and while poetry is generally not for us we are interested in spoken word artists. We read all submissions and aim to respond to all submission emails within 30 days. If we advise you that we are unable to represent your work, please do not infer from this that your work is not publishable. It may be that we are just not the right agency for you.
Please note that we are unable to accept and review postal submissions and anything sent as a hard copy will be recycled.
Thank you for your interest in Graham Maw Christie. We look forward to hearing from you.
